lucky #13
i suppose it is difficult to simply ignore those (for sale) homes that seem like they would be so perfect; its like ignoring a dream people! and yet, it is torturous.
that other hosue i posted pictures of in the previous post is lising for around $335k. i prefer not to spend that much either but...whatever...looking for a house stinks.
-----------------
saturday morning, despite the heat and so forth, i ran 13 miles. yeah! average heart rate over the 2 hours 26 minutes was 149.
i got up at around 5:30am and was running around the lakes by about 6am. i did not wear my knee brace, i did not take ibuprofen before or after the run. i was not, am not sore.
i am, very happy! heck yeah. i could be running faster sure, but i'll take an injury-free slow run every day of the week right now.
i stopped for gatorade during mile 10, thus the 13:04 split. the heat wore me down, and i found it difficult to stay motivated during the last several miles. i stopped for a drink of water every chance i could.
on sunday night i ran a 2 miler to stretch out the legs again. it was a very hot and somewhat surprisingly tough run despite my slow 10:20+ pacing. oh well, not sure what to make of that.

My neice bought a house ($400k+) w/ her fiance. They broke up before completion and are now trying to sell it. To make a long story short, it's a real mess.
Great long run.

oh - you are going to cry! Real estate in the states must suck! 400 grand would get you the nicest house on the nicest block in Australia. My brother just bought 2 houses(the whole block) for $22000 Australian ( not sure how much that is in US)maybe I was too quick to complain about housing layouts in your last post!
The "not before marriage thing" is just adorable sweety!

I am in total agreement about not cohabitating before marriage. Why would I go through all of that effort (selling my condo, figuring out what we have two of and getting rid of one, PACKING) if it's just for convenience sake? I've made that clear to TCB and he doesn't seem entirely pleased with my point of view. :-P

stick to the guns, brent. i really respect you for that decision.
hey, do you carry fluids with you or do you have them stashed somewhere? i'd highly suggest taking something with you so you can keep taking fluids slowly throughout the run.
good luck with the house shopping!

the heat is a killer. drink lots. the knee sounds like it is behaving.
house hunting is fun and tortureous. especially after you look at one that's more than you want to spend, then when you see one in your range, it doesn't measure up. good luck
