i'm all off schedule this week. i skipped a 3-miler yesterday to rest my knee. today was supposed to be 6 but i did 5:

2. 10:15
3. 10:15
4. 10:18
5. 11:04

knee seemed to manage ok actually! hip flexors seemed a little tight. not too bad overall though, i ran slow and everything seemed to go fine i suppose.

tomorrow: back on the road. arrive back home late friday night. i'm bringing running gear; i think i should be able to get in one run on friday morning (fingers crossed).

not much else is going on really. i think this weekend we are going to try to go to the local amusement park for something to do. race some go-carts, play some mini-golf, ride some coasters. ohhhh, my gf told me tonight that she decided to train for a 5k w/one of her friends! yeah!!! very exciting. i think she wants to be able to run with me sometimes but she hasn't run much since hs or college. we might be doing the 5k together in august, woohoo! i think it would be great to finish a race together, any race. 1k, 2k, 3k, i don't care, i just think it would be fun.

  • Sometimes it's better to cut back a little so you heal faster. Hope your knee recovers quickly.

  • Rob doesn't race, but we do run together a lot. I can honestly say it's one of the greatest parts of our relationship. I hope you get to enjoy that with your GF.
