Poignant Irrelevance

i think blogger just forced me to switch over to the new template. i have been holding out for so long. hopefully all my archives are still out there some where. if not, oh well (i have had them hidden...guess who left their blog page open one day on their computer at home when they had a visotor?? 'twas many, many months ago though)

i think i started this blog in 2003. crazy. i don't think i regularly posted until late '04 / early '05.

i ran a total of 7 miles this weekend and my hip flexor acted up, again. guess i better start stretching. i am really bored with my entries that just talk about running. this month has been weak; about 3.5 hours of stairs, less than 10 miles (running), and a handful of weightliftng sessions.

i have been house hounting for what seems like the 8th consecutive year. properties are still spendy and demand is still high in certain areas. the last house that looked promising sold in a week after being listed to the public...i didn't even have a chance to check it out in person. financially, its really stupid to rent and i am sick of it. but i find the prospect of signing a big loan to be scary. its stressful. it is not fun.

another source of stress is coming from that place that sends the paychecks. you know, work?
can't talk about it further though!

and marathon training is coming. my base sucks right now.

i have several balls in the air. i will try to catch them all without error.

what i could really use is a nice, big, slow, long run. the weather has finally thawed here which is very exciting.

i'm going to bed so i can get up early to go to the gym. i played guitar hero tonight for about 1.5 hours. screw it, i just didn't want to think about anything except jamming out. sometimes, ya gotta jam out.

  • i read some article about how young women are more likely than you young men to make the housing plunge. men are always looking for the better deal and women just pick a place and go with it. or something like that. interesting stuff. i'll see if i can dig it up. good luck! it's an exciting, and time consuming, and stressful, and awesome process!!!

  • I think you need a good realtor - hopefully they can get you some inside scoop.

  • Hey, I hear you about the frustration with nagging injuries that aren't so bad as to need drastic care.

7 miles is still 7 miles, and work - well, can't do much about that.

    1 month till spring!
