20 Hours
I believe I slept for around 20 hours yesterday + last night. Today I feel super awesome. I plan on getting a run in tonight. My mileage so far this week is a whopping...hold your breath....2.3 miles. And I only lifted once. That is very disappointing but now I'm rip-roarin'-ready to start up again full tilt. People are dropping like flies at the office, obviously something was circulating in the water trough.
Speaking of 20 hours...I finally got around to the feb '05 Runnerz W0rld. You are all probalby way ahead of me there. But that dude, Dean Karnzes? One time he ran 100 miles to get to a marathon and he barely made it to the starting line and subsequently ran a 3:15. I didn't think that was humanely possible. One time he ran 225 consecutive miles and quit because he was sleep-running. He also ran 235 miles (20 hours non-stop), and 262 miles (with one 15 minute nap). His goal is to run 300 miles. Isn't that crazy?? super-human. he should have is own tv show. just think, if they broadcast HIS long run on tv, you'd be sitting there for 20 hours waiting for it to end.
I think my favorite article in RW is the "I'm a Runner" interview. Those are cool. I wish they would include more than just one per issue.
Have a good weekend folks. I can't wait to lift and run this weekend. woohoo!

sometimes i read those epic articles and i think, "i'd love to do that", and other times i think, "they're nuts!". not sure where i was on that article...although runnin' 300 miles at one go would be an awesome feather in your cap...
