snack-attack

my legs/shins feel fine today but they were a little tender on saturday in particular. that friday run had me reeling a bit all weekend, hopefully my future recovery times will be much quicker.

i found myself snacking more this weekend. i've been reflecting on it today, like what the heck happened. i couldn't run so i felt mentally and physcially defeated, so i snacked? sometimes my brain makes no sense in the way it processes things. i don't mean that i snacked on cookies and candy, i over-snacked on healthy things but what does it matter its all extra calories at the end of the day(s). i can't run, 1 yogurt 2 yogurts, nutrition bar, hey crackers with cottage cheese my that tastes very good, now what else around here also might taste good for a fatigued runner hmmm. oh well. i hope to get in a SHORT run tonight, around 3.3 miles. but if i feel weird pain i'm stepping off and lifting instead.

2.3 miles. King of Queens was on. I tried to hold in the laughter which caused me to get out of rhythm and nearly trip over myself a few times. funny show.

  • That is a funny show, I caught it in syndication last fall and found myself not only guffawing OUT LOUD but making sure to watch it each night. I never knew Kevin James was so hilarious.

  • oh god- I know ALL about that...snacking to take the place of a run...what the hell? I don't understand WHY I do it, but I can totally relate to what you wrote!
