my lifting sessions are getting incrementally more difficult. much heavier weights. its good. i'm also using the cables once in a while (for lat raises and flyes) which i haven't used in the past. good way to mix it up. have also been doing romanian deadlifts.

separately: the scale has been banished. i put it away for a while. stupid scale.

on sunday i was able to get in about 12.8 miles (about 2 hours). i felt really good for the first 8-9 miles (ran the 7th mile in 8:30 w/o realizing it), but then i got a little weak and hungry. i guess the tejas from our date the night before wasn't provding the necessary complex carbs eh? i had 3 clif bloks after about an hour and they worked a bit but not enough to help me finish strong. nonetheless, a very encouraging run at this stage. t-minus about 25 days until marathon training starts all over again!

don't i look like an expert here? ha ha. i waited until all the neighbors were inside before i spread the stuff. i just know they'd have something to say and i didn't feel like small talk (oh i see you are spreading the stuff huh? well we actually use blah blah blah on our yard, yada yada, no thanks i just wasn't in the mood hehe).


  • Banish the scale! F*** the scale! Kill the scale! (remember when I jumped up and down on mine until it broke? No more than it deserved!)

    Romanian deadlifts are great, they will make your butt strong.

  • Yo dude, I just happened to do about that same distance on Sunday. Thought i'd share my results:

    I haven't actually done that distance since Oct 07! Not sure what my goal for this year will be, but guess it's going to have to be that or better?
