"i'm old" update, and a look at a mileage trend
let's start with the "i'm old" segment, shall we?
here is a picture i took of my nephew playing hockey this weekend. wah? i see him quite a bit, but browsing through these pictures i took of him playing hockey this weekend made me feel like an old man. crazy how time seems to fly eh?
------------------------
(------------------------
now, on to my (lack of) running.
during the day today as i took a break and gazed across the minneapolis skyline, i started thinking about my past running mileage during the months of october and november.
after i got home from work i mapped out the facts:
------------------------
--------------------
october mileage excludes the marathon in '05 and '06.
the fact is, in october i'm a little burned out on running after training all summer. that seems to bleed into november a bit. a lot of other factors come in to play (such as busy season at work, and the weather change), but the fact of the matter is i just need to get out there.
it's not easy. its dark and cold, and i'm tired! i sound like a wuss. i need a good smack in the face to snap out of it or something.
here's to making november '06 a good month. a record month. most importantly, a month of consistent training. that would be a good start.

You would be so happy with yourself if you really kicked ass in November. With the beginning of the Eating Season it would be good to stay on top of things, and think how good it would be at New Year's to not have gained any weight! Hmm, maybe I will try that too...
