results are in, i gained 1.2 lbs this week. booooooo. oh well, i'm trying not to beat myself up about it. i just need to get through this last high mileage week and then i can be more restrictive with the food. i'm just too hungry at this point in the training and i need to have the big pasta meal on thursday night (w/a smaller one on friday night). anyway, what i'm trying to say is that i'll get that pound off and more as the mileage goes down. i'm exactly where i was when i quit the program last year, so all in all, not a disaster or anything.

i ran for 49 minutes tonight, right around 5.2+ miles. my legs/hips felt some fatigue from the prior day's 10 miler. a difference between this year and last year is that when i'm fatigued, i'm still running 9-9:30 pace, whereas last year my slow days and long runs were generally 10:30-11:00.

tomorrow is another 5, and then....on saturday.....the infamous 20. i might try to do around 23 though since i did 20 a couple weeks ago. we'll see!
