weekend mileage update: zero again?

on friday night i put in another 2.5 miles right after work. it felt good to run for 2 days in a row even though it was laughable mileage. i had plans to run this weekend but i can't break my streak of planning a weekend run and then not running right?

friday night: dinner with another couple.

saturday: afternoon--walk around and see (melting) ice scultpures and stuff like that. eat late lunch. take a nap (aka pass out on the couch because we were so full). wake up, go see a movie (walk the line), have a margarita after the movie and play one game of trivia for something to do (we got 3rd place of 13, yes).

sunday: hungry because skipped dinner on sat night so we eat breakfast out. i had 2 pieces of french toast and 2 cups of coffee. afternoon--help her brother move.
sunday night: (right now) i feel like i was run over by a truck. i am so dead tired for some reason.

i can't decide between taking a nap, starting a load of laundry, or watching tv.

i hesitated a little bit writing this entry because i still haven't lifted or put in a run this weekend. but this blog is just the journey of doing and not doing things, its not all about every time i have a great workout (unfortunately?).

i did feel a little guilty though! can you believe that all day today, i was thinking about how on earth i was going to be able to write my next blog entry without having completed a run on yet another weekend?! oh well. you guys sure know how to make a guy feel guilty. heh.

i'm going to try to be a little more regular with updates this week, even though it might not be after a great day or an awesome workout etc. i kind of miss writing out my thoughts for the day.

i'm looking forward to david and rae's race reports!!

  • No, no, no. See, this is Brent's blog, with a tiny dash of running thrown in. All Brent, 24/7, that's what I come here to read. The running stuff is just the icing. Give me more of the cake!

  • Wow! You're starting to sound like an old married couple. =) J/K. Maybe you guys should join a gym together or train for a 5K. It's so much easier to stick with a plan working together on it. One night last week Brent even did yoga with me. =)
