how about a bar graph to display last night's elliptical workout. i had a difficult time trying to get the HR up into "running" range. boo hoo. i had my legs pumping and i just thought all this time i was working harder. never once hit 150 beats per min. slow long runs for me are 150-155 range. oh well. 45% of the time i was low 140's and 42% of the time i was in the mid 130's. the other interesting thing was my recovery HR--almost as soon as i stepped off the elliptical, it dropped down to 85. normally after a run its around 105. i should check my resting HR again...last year it was high 40's low 50's. i bet its higher now cuz i'm carrying some extra weight.

tomorrow i'm going for a longer run. maybe not as long as the schedule says but i'm getting out there. remember the doc said cut mileage he didn't say to quit running! whew. it has only been 2 days; i'm behind 6 miles and feeling antsy about it.

have a nice holiday weekend everybody!

  • Susan's right, you know. And, cool graphs. I haven't HRed myself while ellipticalling but while I always become a huge sweat factory, I doubt my HR is going up very high. Interesting stuff...

  • Do you ever raise the resistance on the Elliptical? That usually raises my heart rate very quickly.

Cool graph! Enjoy the 4th of July celebrations!
