hungry

ever since saturday's running i have been absolutely starving. i have been doing my best to not eat everything in sight. today i've had:
-Breakfast: spanish omelet with pinneapple salsa
-Lunch: chicken teriyaki (2) with broccoli & fried brown rice
these meals are from my new little diet plan. overall the meals taste fine, nothing too great but not gross or anything. the more hungry i am, the better they taste.
-Snack: banana
just now i also ate a
-Snack (unplanned): snick7rs marathon bar
i think that puts me between 800-1,000 calories so far (i don't have the exact calorie count for the meals).
the snick7rs was obviously not a part of the plan. crap. i'm so dang hungry. i have apples, oranges, and carrots for snacks...i think i can have one more apple and maybe an orange plus my planned dinner.

tonight i'm doing chest and the elliptical.
---
i had a nice chest workout (incline again) but nah, i'm not going to do the elliptical. i feel like a wuss but i'm just not going. so there. i'm gonna go have some bubble gum.

i finished Velocity By Dean Koontz today. i'm not a big fiction reader but i put this one out in about a day and a half. the book made me jumpy! whats that shadow over there? what was that noise? did i leave my door unlocked? what just hit the window? ha ha. don't read this one at night. its a little C R E E P Y. i read fast and furious while it was daylight out. muahaha. hey i'm just sayin'. no need to be creeped out when its dark out. hehehe. if anyone wants this book i will send it to you because i'm never reading it again and i don't even want it in my apartment. ha!

  • The Green Thing is a pottery birdbath my friend made for me. I just wanted to put something pretty on the table for the photo.

What do you men do when you have The Hunger and can't blame it on TOM???

I don't think they make marathon anymore, obviously you are eating a 24-year-old candy bar.

  • Mmmm, now I'm hungry! Good thing it's almost dinner time!

I think I've seen the marathon bars around, unless I'm looking at 20 year old bars, too!

Don't forget to drink lots of water when you're hungry. I was always told a handful of pretzels and a tall glass of water will fill you right up.

  • This same thing totally happened to me after I did the run in SF. I was FAMISHED for like three days. Finally, the Wednesday after (as I recall) I just broke down and ATE. I think I had a bagel at lunch and a couple of slices of pizza for dinner. It was bready and yummy and I was *finally* satisfied. It was all better the next day - hunger gone!

  • Hey, Brent. I did see the comment. Thanks!!

I specifically added an offsite guestbook so that folks could leave messages for me that didn't have and didn't want a .Net profile.

Try the gels on a short run so that if you have a problem you can deal with it. I haven't had any issues to date (knock wood). I guess I have a strong stomach/intenstines. That's about all that's strong right now, but LOL! Hey, it's something, right?!?!

    Best wishes - s.

  • eek! i'll pass on that book! i hear enough "noises" without getting even more creeped out by a book. i can't do scary movies either. i'm a daredevil when it comes to adventure, but a wus when it comes to eerie stuff!
