elliptical out, stairs in


i did the elliptical (no arms) for 10 minutes and it was too frustrating to bear any longer. for some weird reason, when using the elliptical, i can't keep my HR in running territory without burning up my legs.

i decided to try the stairmaster. whew, i almost puked after 20 minutes. excellent! i tripped maybe a dozen times trying to watch tv and step at the same time. plus i am not a fan of being on display in front of the entire club but screw it! so i got on and it was a great workout. my HR went to 150 fairly quickly. i'm not sure if this provided relief for the shins but it had to be better for them than running (i hope).

  • That stairmaster looks like a killer. Way to go! ~ This is what I don’t understand–even though I run several days a week and I think I'm “in shape” (at least a little) I sometimes STILL get “winded” when I have to climb up all the stairs at work. Go figure! ~ How is your toe nail?
