40/30/30
this is week 2 of my new diet, actually it is more like 1 1/2 weeks but i need to to make a few comments. lets call this diet, the zone diet. 40% carbs, 30% fat, 30% protein.
i didn't think it would be a problem, but i can't stand all of the fat on this plan. yuck. sausage is ok once in a while but not several times a week. same with the beef, ham, and so on. i like chicken and turkey, why can't there be a chicken and turkey diet?
however, i am not as hungry with this plan as i have been on past diets. i don't know what to attribute that to...the zone? the 6-pack pills? the forcing myself to eat every 3-4 hours instead of surviving big huge blocks of time without any food? or the lack of simple sugary carbs in my diet? or my willpower of steel (yeah right)? all of it?
they serve a lot of vegetables with each meal though, so that is good. i don't normally eat vegetables. i buy vegetables... and let them fester and rot in my fridge but i don't eat them.
today i ate breakfast at about 7am, then golfed for for 4 hours. then i had 1 banana and i was full. that is so funky. i just don't get it.
i'll stick with this particular diet plan at least until my 1 month financial commitment ends. i didn't weigh myself at the beginning but i'm sure i'm down a few lbs.
today i scored my lowest round of golf ever--i shot in the 80's for the first time woohoo!! not that you care but how sweet it is.
tonight is biceps and unfortunately, the elliptical instead of running.
