Like A Champion

..

As the n0tre dame football players make their way to the field before every game they always hit this sign. always. except they don't just slap it and move on. it means a lot. the tradition, the actual meaning behind the words, and just think of the past players who have slapped this exact same sign and then proceeded to play football on one of the most storied fields in college football history.

Play Like A Champion Today

inspired by megan's recent documentary study, i came up with my own sign. i really liked her "choose to be an athlete" phrase that is on her mirror. good idea.

i taped my racing bib to my mirror. its my own little, Play Like A Champion Today sign. its my Choose To Be An Athlete mantra.

i see it every day now and for me it represents a little bit of history, some of the future, and most of all the present. play like a champion today. choose to be an athlete.

slap that sign. today will be a good day.

  • see, the cool thing is that you ARE an athlete. it's just that you need to choose to BEHAVE like an athlete. your bib is the perfect reminder of that.

very cool way to inspire yourself, b. i know it's inspiring to me.

  • Just remember to move the sign around, or change it up, because after a while it becomes part of the landscape, so to speak, and you don't notice it, and the whole point of having the mantra is to be mindful.

The race bib is the perfect choice. Very inspiring and symbolic.
