Buyer's Remorse
i'd like to amaze you with my triumphant saturday long-run conquest. on friday night i set the alarm on the alarm clock that only works half the time. i usually use my cell phone alarm (foolproof) but yesterday i lost my cell phone somehow. it must be around here somewhere. i had the ring on vibrate; i've tried to call it several times and listen real carefully but, NOTHIN'. i've checked everywhere! hopefully it will show up tomorrow.
anyway, where was i? i slept in. and slept and slept and slept. and then i had some important car shopping to do, because the lease on my current vehicle is about to expire. and now i have buyers remorse. always happens after a big purchase (or lease). i don't take delivery until monday, but right now i'm not feelin' too good about my decision. i might look back and call this one of the stupidest things i've ever done. hmmmm. i'm going to sleep on it, and possibly back out of it.
the worst thing about leasing a vehicle is the part where your lease expires and you have to give back the car. all those payments and then, here's your car back mister dealership, thank you for letting me rent it now how about we start over by renting a new car and here's another acquisition fee ok?
thats all i have. i yawned all day and i'm still tired. i'm going to watch more seinfeld season #4 episodes now. i'm so exciting. i feel fat. i'm drinking diet c0ke with splenda like its water. my sh7ns are sore. i'm all out of bubble gum.

This doesn't sound like one of your better days. I have never leased a vehicle. We bought our truck 9 years ago using what they called a "balloon loan". You make a reasonable sized payment on a loan for about half the value of the vehicle for 5 years. At the end of the 5 years you can hand over the keys and start over scott free, trade it against a newer vehicle with x amount of value or do a new loan for that same x amount of value. We chose to do the new loan and our last payment is in Oct of this year. The difference between that and the lease is that the vehicle is ours and we can sell it at any time. The payment was about the same as the lease payment was and in the end it worked out to be a better deal.

Under the driver's seat of the car. That's where my phone likes to hide out sometimes.

My cell phone likes to take mini-vacations away from me too. I'm thinking there's some kind of electronics all-inclusive ... all the remote controls for our TV fly there often, too.

So you didn't say what you'll be driving now....
