ice it
my lifting routine went great tonight. heavy chest sets (6,6,4 reps of db bp and then flyes), and then 6 sets of lat pulldowns (3 front, 3 back).
the 4-miler on the other hand, oh well. i did finish it but i'm not sure if that was wise. we'll see. the most frustrating part about this is that aerobically, its totally fine and within my capabilities. actually, i can't push to get faster because well, you know. it would be a better workout if i switched to the elliptical because there is no pain and i can go faster. i hate complaining but i'm trying to be accurate about how it is going. hey one positive is: last wednesday i could only manage 2.6 miles on the 'mill before i succumbed to the horrible pain. maybe it is improving? hmm. although if it is still bothering me next week i guess its time to get a professional opinion. it is primarily the left one btw (it used to be both).

I hear ya. Trying to get healed up is making me crazy. I want to run pain free! Maybe you should go to an orthopedic and see what he says. Do you wear orthotics?

It's been bothering you for a while now, so why not just make an appointment and go? I'm sure he'll tell you it's overtraining and to do something that doesn't involve stressing those muscles for your activities for a while, but then you'll know for sure and I won't worry about you any more. :)
