i just ate a panera sandwich (chicken ceasar) and now i feel sick to my stomach. ooohhhhhhhhhh sick. i have been eating really plain stuff for what seems like forever (save thanksgiving day), so maybe my system overloaded. not a good sandwich though, i have no plans to ever order that one again. i'm sure it was about 600 calories...i usually avoid panera (eg go there once or twice during a summer) but sometimes the craving hits and i think it is ok to work in some high calorie sandwiches a couple times a month as long as you don't go too far over your calorie goal. i know for me personally, sometimes i drop weight after an indulgence or two but i'm not sure why. the metabolism wakes up or something.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my stomach. it doesn't feel right. curse that panera sandwich! ohhhhhhhhhhhh. *clutches stomach* *chugs diet coke* hehe.
today i ran for 1 hour (6.3 miles) over at lake harriet and once around calhoun. yeah!! my first run in the 20F degree temps! i felt out of shape though. it was kind of a tough run. 9:24, 9:05, 9:13, 9:13, 9:31, 9:44, and 10:00 pace for the last 0.372 mile climb up a tough hill. yesterday i had about 600 total calories (not necessarily on purpose) and no water--not exactly optimum training fuel. thats not why i was slow and out of shape but i'm just sayin'.
that brings my weekly mileage up to 12.7 miles; would you believe that is the biggest mileage week for me since 'thon? i know, i suck. i guess it turns out that you cannot maintain your base while running 12 miles a week. shocker! i haven't been able to get into a grove yet. it will happen though. now i have my winter running gear so that is good.

so i thought it was just me (or a fluke) who sometimes loses weight after an indulgence. isn't that weird? awesome at the same time though.
oh, and i'm thinking any week where you're running in the double digits is somethin' to be mighty proud of!
