Poignant Irrelevance

again, with that thing i did

work is kicking my butt this week and its only tuesday. i took a 3+ hour nap when i got home tonight. i was looking forward to a run but its not happening. tomorrow it will.

so lets talk about the 10k. i can't let it go, ha ha. i just thought i'd post the polar results. i guess the "hill" doesn't look like much-- but the HR was in the mid 170's so i know i was working. the final brackets highlight: too little too late. i had the HR working in the low 180's on the final 1 mile sprint, peaking out at 186 which is high for me. i look upon the lower HR/pace readings through the first half of the race with some regret...come on kid pick up the pace.

..
g'night.

  • Well, this is the first one you ran - next time you will be able to pace yourself better, and probably beat most of the sexagenarians.

  • I don't know how you do those latenight workouts. If I even sit down after work, I never get back up again.

I hope work gets a little easier for you and I LOVE that graph!

  • I finally got the chance to catch up with your blog tonight... and was thrilled to read your race report. Very respectable times, too! Way to go... I'm like you-- I check the website as often as possible too during the day after the race (let's see... I came in where in my age group?) Can't wait to keep up with more of your racing adventures-- are you hooked now?
