sweatpants

i think its going to be in the mid-40's on saturday morning. booo. right now its 37F, feels like 29F. i think it would be funny to run in some old school sweatpants and a headband. if someone would do it with me, i would consider it. muahaha.

the dudes at the longest mile did their race! that was a fun ride. i liked the article they each just published that talked about The Run. go check it out. good stuff. thanks to the running chick who provided the link a while back on her site, that lead me to their adventure.

now i must go eat some candy bars. just kidding. i did actually survive almost by cliff bars alone today though. the guilt is IMMENSE this close to a race (in terms of possibly breaking down and eating something really naughty). i think to myself well, whatever i eat now has to get towed for 6.2 miles by my legs so maybe better not eat that.

  • LOL! "i'm gonna knock you out, momma said knock you out"...that one really made me laugh! damn, there sure are a lot of sore people out there seeking answers, huh? apparently, no one has ever reached my site through a search. I think I’m gonna start sticking in a few random key phrases (something like "pee smells like asparagus" or "brad and angelina wed") and see what if I get any hits for it.

Heehe! That was my favorite! I feel like I should be sending you wedding gifts! Chocolate chips maybe?

I like that theory about whatever you eat, you have to carry through your run. I might have to keep that in mind the next time I reach for dessert. Thanks for the idea!

  • That's so funny about the old school sweatpants and headband! I once did a Century Bike ride (100 miles) and there were all these people on $2k softride bikes, with like an additional $800 in titanium parts and vented clothing with socks that cost like 30 bucks a pair and clip on shoes that were a fortune. You can imagine the scene, right? There was this one old guy, and I kept seeing him everywhere - at every break stop, at the start, at the finish, just everywhere - and he was riding an old "beach cruiser" (the kind of bike that has no speeds, or maybe three at the most) and he had on cordouroy jeans with the chain-side leg rubber banded shut around his ankle, and a flannel. I swear, a flannel. I loved that guy!

  • When are you going to be brave and put on your own sexy outfit and treadmill at the front of the row?? Give all the girl a treat.

  • Oh my god, it's this weekend! I am so excited for you. Don't worry about mid-40s, especially if it's sunny. It's actually a great temperature. It was 45 for my race last weekend and after a mile or so, I was sweating in a long sleeve shirt and wind jacket.

    This weekend! Woo!

  • Dude, you totally need to get some stylin' duds and start strutting yourself at the gym. Perhaps this weekend is the perfect time to try out a new outfit? My suggestion is a spandex thong with hot pink running singlet. (What do you mean "no chance no how"???)

  • How about new sweatpants....and if you don't want the hot pink singlet, I'll take it.
