new shoes and me
3 miles, 31:15. leisurely pace, feelin' good. my new shoes and i were running as one, we were in the zone. new shoes are great aren't they? i really felt like the shoes knew what they were doing-- running like they had been trained to run on a treadmill in a former life. the real test will be had during a longer run.
here's my current running list.
..
if someone in real life were to ask me about certain songs on this list i might have to completely deny that i've ever heard of them. :-)
you must get the deep vibrations dance tune by trance{}control. i dare you to run slow during that song. dare ya. its an older song, if you want it i will email it to you. proceed to run like the wind. speaking of running like the wind, i'm still in awe of alison's triple digit mileage log last week. whoooey. sweet. my brain explodes trying to comprehend mileage like that.
-----------------
i'm too lazy to do that 100 things about me list. but here's one: i broke the outside of my left foot one summer playing volleyball in a friends backyard. stepped in a secret hole in the backcourt. snap! i actually played a few more points because i play through pain baby! i didn't really know it was broken at the time.
wearing a cast up to my knee: not so bad. i moved really well with crutches, i was a speed demon.
wearing a cast in the dorm rooms during the summer with no air conditioning: sucked.
showering in the dorms for a month with a garbage bag rubber-banded at the knee so water didn't leak in: really sucked. don't even ask about the itching. to this day i have to make sure i'm running with good form so that left foot doesn't give me funny aches.

Omigosh, your musical taste is as ecclectic as mine - I didn't think that was possible. :)
You know, I totally thought I had you blogrolled but I don't so I will right now.
Yes, I'm a little buzzed right now...LOL.

a dumb question-- do you have to pay a monthly fee to get pictures up on your blogger account? i can't figure out any other way to do it except link to another photo site... let me know if you get a chance.

Well, Brent. Any song list that include Kelly Clarkson and Dr. Dre, that's somebody very comfortable with who they are!
Isn't it funny how you were off the runs last week, and now you're right back on, feeling great? Don't you love running???
xoxo

i'm sorry mia who was that first artist you mentioned? i've never heard of her! hee!
krista, i have a rio mp3 player. i think i'm due for an upgrade though. i haven't purchased a new gadget for a couple weeks so i'm getting antsy. i download songs from napster.

Way to go B!!! I'm glad you and the new shoes are 'one'. They look pretty spiffy! I think you might just inspire me to get a new pair!! Perhaps a new pair of shoes will be just the thing I need to get back into my running groove. :-)
I like the song list too -- I think I might need to add some of those to my list!! Think I'm due for some fresh additions...
Keep up the positive attitude and great running feats!! Have a great week...

Heh, thanks Denise. I just realized I didn't have him on my blog lines either, even though I come here often.
Good mix of music. Bet I can guess which ones you won't admit to...lol. I have some of those downloaded and used before.
As for new shoes...nothing beats that feeling. Well, maybe finishing a marathon. :-)
