Brent, to answer your question on my blog....I “mostly” followed Hal’s training schedule but I made a few variations. He called for a day of Stretch & Strength, which I hated so instead I would go for a regular run (which added a few extra miles each week). One of my favorite things about his schedule was that it was extremely flexible. Like he said, “Don't be afraid to juggle the workouts from day to day and week to week. Be consistent with your training, and the overall details won't matter.” I thought it was a great program and I would recommend it. I finished the half marathon…so it must have been successful. Good luck in finding a plan just right for you!
favs: running, lifting weights, football, racquetball, the crisp outdoors, bright sunny mornings, twizzlers and most all other candy (unfortunately). married my beautiful wife in oct. '08. we are loving life in south mpls!
