weekly landmark in mileage this week: 43.6. first time in the 40's!

today's run stretched to 15.4 instead of 14, mostly because i bumped into a buddy around the 11.5 mile mark and misjudged my remaining distance as we caught up on some things. next time i will try to be more diligent.

it was a little warm this morning but i felt pretty good anyway. my knees felt a little weird at the end but nothing unusual. i didn't even take a nap this afternoon! hopefully i will still feel ok tomorrow.

i took a gu around 1:11 which was good, but i think i should have had another one before the end of the run.

i will return to this topic later this week, but for now i will say that my sister race her first ever 5k this weekend! it was awesome. very exciting. she did great, and finished strong. it was a lot of fun. go k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
