air in the tires
cross training tonight. pumped up the tires and took the mountain bike out for about 9 miles, around 55 minutes. average HR about 120 or so. good ride, although my knee felt a little funky a couple times after some hard push-offs. tomorrow is 4 miles, saturday i'm running with my sister as she runs her first ever 5k (sweet!), then a 14-miler some time on sunday.
i've studied my new running schedule time and time again and just this afternoon i noticed there are THREE 20-milers on this plan. sweet! also, assuming i follow the schedule, i will only run one more week with total mileage in the 30's, the rest are in the 40's and 50's. this week should be 40. i can't say i've ever run a 40-mile week before. sweet! i'm really hoping my knees (and everything else) can hold up under the increased mileage. only time will tell!
p.s. given the increased mileage as of late, i'm hungry all the time again. dangit!
