YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! SUUUHWEEEEET!!!!!

kare11 also lists the weather conditions for last years marathon:
"2005 ( October 2nd )..A mix of clouds and sun with windy conditions and high humdiity for early October. Low temperature: 65 degrees. High temperatures: 78 degrees with dew point temperatures in the low 60s ( humid ) and gusty Southeast winds which produced a headwind the last 6 miles."
--yuck. it was awful.

only two things currently stand in the way of making it to the starting line on Sunday:
1) Friday!
2) Saturday!

woohoo!

last night i ran 4.25 miles at an average pace of 9:15 - 9:20.
tonight i attempted to run MP (9:50 - 10:00) for around 3 miles. it felt a little funny. do you know how sometimes running slower seems to make you more tired?? yeah, that happened. oh well, nothing to become too alarmed about i suppose.

i've been fighting a little sore/dry/scratchy throat. yeah yeah yeah, i know. not much i can do about it now. only 2 more days, i can fight through to make it to the starting line. i may have to carry some halls cough drops in my amphipod! ha ha. i skipped tuesday's run in order to rest.

my final training run on the schedule is a 2-miler at MP. although the beginner schedule has the last run on thursday, the intermediate schedule has it on saturday, so i won't feel bad sneaking it in on friday or saturday.

can you imagine that? only ONE LAST TRAINING RUN left on whole schedule?! since june? wow. i love it.

tomorrow night after work i'm going to pick up my race packet and become excited all over again. being around a ton of runners who are about to race, well...its just awesome! the room has a buzz, runners are smiling and trading war stories. you sort of share this training bond. we've all been giving so much of our schedule to running and everything that encompasses it. and now, we've made it.

we made it!!!
