Poignant Irrelevance

i'm sorry, what was that you said about linking to a picture of some sort? i have no idea what you are talking about. heh.

it was rough but i gave it another go tonight, ran for 4.3 miles. pacing was a little worse than yesterday (9:30 or so). i can tell i haven't been eating the right things because i was lacking the energy to keep feeling strong out there. i think i might go to the grocery store right after i finish this entry and buy some vege's and other healthy things. haven't been eating the right carbs. calories in / calories out sure, but if you want to exercise too, you can't be so lazy as to hope a york mint pattie will help you run 4 miles. but i love york mint patties! have i mentioned that?

i did feel that my groove was just around the corner (as i quit), but i was sure glad to be at my apartment entrance. it almost feels like my body is taking a little time to learn how to run again. i still can't believe i nearly took the entire month of december off. its been several years since i was THAT much of a slacker. i did lift a few times though.

my legs were a little sore today. from a 4 mile run the day before. suck.

i sure hope it stays in the 30's or even the 20's so i can keep on keepin' on.

  • Rough runs are what make good runs seem really great. But before your next run, get to the store and find some food that will give you energy. No York Mint Patties until you eat all your veggies...lol.

  • More sleep is something I'm dying for, too. It seems I can never just go to bed early, lately I average about 6.5 hrs and I know just an extra half hour more would do wonders!

Good luck on all your published and unpublished goals in 2006! Happy New Year!
