goo

last night a buddy sent me a text message that simply read,

"don't forget your running clothes"

he joined a running group that meets weekly (after work) and he knows i've been slacking on my own running lately. i appreciate him trying to get me to snap out of it. it almost worked. he did make me feel guilty, plus he is enjoying it so i do feel like i'm missing out. once in a while he talks about running during the day; i know it is a part of his strategy to try to help me get motivated. i'm not going to snap out of it until after christmas though. hey at least i'm being honest with myself. no, i won't be running before christmas. it is what it is. i'm a little worn down right now. but hey its supposed to be above 20 degrees this weekend, yeah!

spent last night celebrating christmas with the gal because she is going out of town over the holiday. it was fun. whew i'm beat though.
here is where i'm not fond of the fact that some people that know me in the real world know about this blog (not referring to you nightshade). anyway, she compliments me in a lot of ways. i like the little things about her. i'm not trying to be all mooshy gooey, i'm just saying.
i liked your comments about the "drinker". haha. i knew the drinking thing would force the friendship to a screeching halt and i brought out the card sooner rather than later. it took a few dates to get to know her; i think i pulled the plug at just the right time. someone who becomes defensive about being able to drink with friends is simply at a different stage in life than i am. i don't even want to say it is a bad thing, but it is a bad thing for where i'm at and what i am looking for.

  • Enjoy your Christmas, the compliments and days of rest. They are all too infrequent as we all know too well. Life is good!

  • Brent, hopefully you "played the card" before you got her a Christmas present.

Taking a break from running is great, but this weather is awesome. 28 degrees this morning, above freezing later this week.

    Get outside and run!!!

  • Happy Holidays!! I know what you mean about ppl reading your blog that you know in real life. There are some really hilarious things I would like to share but can't because I know certain people read (aka silently STALK) my blog.
