hamstrings are sore today. tight and sore, from monday's leg session. been stretching though. my least favorite sore muscles are: glutes, lower back, shoulders, hamstrings. sore glutes plus sore hamstrings make me feel like my legs are stuck in goo.

bought two boxes of protein shakes earlier plus some licorice. i am a walking dichotomy. train hard and strong, eat licorice. buy celery, buy shrimp, buy protein powder, buy licorice. coolio. i am so weak sometimes.

a quick update tonight pending biceps and a run.

  • You're entitled and besides, licorice is nonfat! :)

  • To the previous commenter-- when something is nonfat, it does not mean that it will do no harm. Think of all the sugar and calories that licorice has.

Anyways, but like you said, I guess this guy is entitled to a licorice now and then, as long as he doesn't devour the whole bag-- or as long as he only eats it once in a while. The more you restrict something, the more you want it. A little something in moderation is OK-- IMO.

  • There's a reason I don't buy licorice any more. Red is my fav and I can devour the whole bag no problem and be looking at the empty bag going I need more......

  • I thought the whole point of running was to eat junk food!

I can eat healthy all day, but the minute I see a Sour Gummy Worm, all self discipline goes right out the window.

  • ewwww, licorice...yuck. I've tried to like it, but just can't. I used to feel "abnormal" as a kid because I was the only person I knew who couldn't stand the stuff! haha! I remember when starburst came out with some sort of fruity flavored licorice and I was finally able to tolerate eating those, but you won't see the traditional red/black kind anywhere near my mouth!

  • I used to keep a big bucket of red licorice on my desk - you know, "for the kids". It was evil and had to go! And hey, my hamstrings are pleasantly sore this morning too!
