i think the biggest L0ser sends a powerful message in that anyone can do it. the people on that show are just normal people. and they did it. true they did some crazy things but they also did normal things too, they ate a normal restricted diet and exercised. most of the people continued to lose weight after getting kicked off. the end result is that they did IT. and that is inspiring, more so than 99% of the absolute crap that is on tv today (excluding sports of course). to be fair, the one thing those people did that most normal folks never have a chance to do, quit their jobs to get in shape for however long they were at that place. i would not hesitate quitting my job to get in shape full time, i can say that without a doubt. i think about it all the time. however money makes the world go round (my health club membership is $600/year remember), and careers tracks don't build themselves. hmmmm. so if anyone wants to pay me my current salary while i get in shape, and guarantee me continued career growth when i would hop back into the race please let me know.
today i'm at 1,274 calories, and i have a yogurt calling my name. i bought some metrx shakes tonight, i will start with those tomorrow. absolutely have to increase the protein, i just haven't been getting enough at all. i couldn't lift last night and i can't lift tonight because you guessed it i'm working late. duty calls...

Although I don't watch the show, it won't stop me from having an opinion on it. And somebody, please, stop me. But the truth is, I agree with the premise so much more than these surgery shows. The fact that they are learning how to do this, is phenomenal.
And yes, it would be great to just concentrate on the physical fitness, without life's worries. But I also liken it to when people say it was so easy for [insert name of celebrity] to lose weight or get in shape because they have [insert chef, personal trainer, full gym in the house]. And the truth is, it just doesn't matter how many advantages you have - or don't have! - only *you* can do the work. Nobody can eat for you, nobody can work out for you, and nobody can make it important to you.
So you see, when you're juggling your job, family, home, you are the real hero. Because no matter how imperfectly you may go down your path, you are going down it. For no other reason than you decided to. That rules! - Mia
