here and there post
jeff, thanks for the great sock idea, i appreciate it! although i'm afraid that i'm not organized enough to be that organized. heh. i would eventually end up with 7 mis-numbered and unmatched socks. heh! great idea though, i will try to work up to it!
tonight i missed my first scheduled M-training run because of a long day at the office. major bummer! i think it ended up being a 15 hour day. there are much worse things going on in the world so i'm not going to whine about it. speaking of which, what is the matter with people? i just don't understand. i will never understand why people do certain things particularly in the wake of tragedy. i don't want to be too serious on my blog but i drove all the way home from work tonight trying to make sense of what some people are doing. i can't make sense of it. i read one story about people looting a truck that was carrying supplies to a hospital that had been damaged. i can't make sense of it. are we in the middle ages or something?
i will try to squeeze in some miles on friday which is normally an off day. saturday is 14 and i want to do 9 tomorrow (friday). however if i feel fatigued on friday i will quit early. maybe just do 5 or 6 to stretch the legs out. oh, i'm buying a new pair of shoes too. i had planned on doing that tonight. i've heard that brooks shoes tend to wear out faster and i do think mine have lost a little bounce/cushion. plus this seems like one of the last weeks where it makes sense to buy a new pair before the main event. i'll buy another of the brooks glycerin's since they seem to work fine.
so hey my pants have been feeling looser. i like that. i am down 14 lbs. according to one scale. i am eating more often throughout the day which helps me from getting too hungry. i've had a salad almost every day this week; i always order it without dressing. straight up mixed greens with vege's and black pepper. tastes really good. i wash it down with a diet pepsi and a york mint pattie. hehe.
this was kind of a ramble post but i wanted to jot a few things down to clear my mind. i'm gonna check some more email now, and then get a few hours of sleep before going back and doing it all over again! its friday at least!
everybody have yourself a great run this weekend. good luck to the new haveners too...wish i could be there!! next time for sure.

I have to agree. The looting and such that is going on is really sad. Nothing like kicking people when they are down!
Have a great weekend!

14 pounds! That's fantastic.

Also meant to say - the way I solved the sock dilemma was bought all new socks of one color: white. Threw the others out.
I did the same for Bucko, with black for work.

Long run day tomorrow. Look out! Its almost funny how quickly we get so focused on the long Saturday run - like the whole week leads up to it.

Yeah, I do think brooks cushion wears out a bit quicker. I contacted the Brooks company last year and asked if I could order just the insoles. Unfortunately, they don't sell them so I have to buy all new shoes (I've tried other insoles and they just don't feel right). But, I'm still a Brooks devotee.
