More Signs

went for a run on a new path (for me), around a lake. nice. about 4 miles. shins hurt. tried to run in the dirt path when possible.
half way through the run the showers started pouring down. wind picked up. running in the rain makes you feel like somewhat of a warrior eh?

as i neared the path that hugged the lakeshore, a double rainbow appeared. the first part of the rainbow started at the far end of the lake, arched up in the center and ended at the other side. the second rainbow followed the same path but was about 6 feet above the first rainbow. people started pulling over and getting out of their cars to take pictures. i overheard a lady telling her kids that they will probably never see this again in their lifetimes.

i stopped and stared. a big fish jumped out of the water in front of me. it hit the lake with a splash, disturbing the glass-like surface.

i turned back to finish the last half of the run. the clouds pulled back enough for the setting sun to hit the lake in full force.

i keep getting all of these signs. neato. i'm taking note. i hope you are all in a position to be able to see your own little signs.

  • Golden moments - they're so special when they happen, and every time you read your description, you know it fails miserably to convey the utter magnificence. I'm glad it happened to you!
