Hanging Tough, Staying Hungry

Risin' up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive

So many times, it happens too fast
You change your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive

Last night, ran 1 loop around the neighborhood: 24 minutes.
Tonight, ran 1 longer loop around the neighborhood: 24 minutes.
Tiptoeing back. The pavement pounding is making my legs a little tight.

I hope the summer arrives soon, the weather here has been poopy for weeks and weeks. Looks like more of the same poopiness is on the way.

  • Flash back to 3rd grade—how does that riddle go? “Rain, Rain, Go Away, Come Again Another Day!”

  • That "eye of the tiger" song cracks me up - it used to be on the soundtrack of a class I take at the gym. At the end of the song, there is a sound effect of a tiger, roaring. It's hilarious!

  • Brent, have to say...I saw "Hanging Tough" in the title and was afraid I was going to read a quote from New Kids on the Block. Needless to say I was very very worried in that moment.
