$20 Pancakes

each time i go back to new york it gets better and better. love that city. so many different types of people, so much culture, and everyone seems to have their own style. and the women there, hubba hubba yowza! do they know how to dress! not a fan of the crazy people though. always a couple crazy people talking to themselves or talking to you about some crazy thing or another. i'm sure the natives are used to it. we almost got killed in cab once, slammed up against the plastic divide thing. i'm kind of used to that though, i almost get killed in a cab every time i'm there. either that or i get the worst smelling cab in the city.

i managed to run only twice. bleah. i ran 3 miles one morning on the mill and then 4 mill miles one other morning. my first night we were up until about 4AM working on some crisis, then a few hours of sleep and back to it with meetings. and so on and so on until it was over. great to see some old friendly faces of people i hadn't seen for a while and also to meet some new people in person that i talk to on the phone.

needless to say, i was a foggy mess today. i slept a lot and i think i ate some things that are on the "do not eat" list.

one morning we ate breakfast at this one place. i had $20 pancakes! mmmmmmmmmmm. they were just perfect. two pancakes with peaches and these walnuts that were kind of sweetened. i had half of them and then i was so full. if i had been eating alone i would have held out for 5 minutes to let it all settle in my stomach and then just shovel the rest in. i mean how often will i have two $10 pancakes? but i was in a suit with people trying to be all fancy so i only ate half of the goods. oh i also had a $7 glass of orange juice to wash it down. hehe. the other awesome food item of the trip was an excellent burger from a well known burger joint in town. it wasn't that expensive but it was great.

here's where i totally regret ever announcing to the blog world that i signed up for the m word. stupid me! stupid! maybe you could all just forget i ever mentioned it. i have to figure out the schedule this weekend and get back down to business. bye now, i gotta go get some more sleep.
